The coat of arm of Peru are composed of : a vicuna (cousin of the lama), a quinquina (tree originating in the Andes and the Central America which was discovered at the 17th century.
Its bark, is rich in quinine (and cure paludism) and in a horn of plenty. These three symbols represent the plant, mineral and the animal.
